Weekend Weather Report

If you have anything planned this upcoming weekend in the great outdoors, be sure to grab a few extra layers and hit the store for a gallon of milk and maybe some eggs… 😉

This afternoon has been a rather cloudy one! Tonight, we can expect windchills up to 15 degrees around 5pm. Unfortunately, we will see those chills go down into the single digits by 9pm. Tonight’s low will be 33 degrees. Be sure to layer up tonight, Kentucky. It’ll be a cold one!

Looking into Saturday, we will see temps of about 30 in the morning hours. Thankfully, we aren’t expecting any rainfall. In fact, there’s a strong chance the sun may come out to play! The high for Saturday will be 43, dropping back down to the 30’s that evening.

We suggest making a hot pot of chili or some homemade soup on Sunday because it’s looking to be a gloomy one. There is a 60 percent chance of rain and possible snow showers...

2023 Home Design Trends

There are lots of new trends starting to make their way into our homes in 2023.  If you are looking to renovate your home, this is the blog for you.

The first major trend we’re seeing this year is the return of bold colors. Over the past couple of years, we have seen a major increase in neutral colors—think greys, whites, and light browns. Now we are seeing colors in the wheelhouse of greens, blues and teals, and bright reds and pinks. These are tectonic changes we are seeing, which could be a psychological change in the masses wanting to look to a brighter future after the past few years.

Bringing the outdoors indoors has been a growing trend in the younger homeowner demographic. Pots and plants have found their way into living rooms and kitchens across the nation. This trend started in the apartment scene. With little outdoor space and greenery to be had, renters have been bringing a slice of Mother Earth into their apartment lifestyle. Now those renters...

2022 Real Estate Trends

Before we completely dive into the New Year, how about a quick recap on the Real Estate market in 2022!

The market certainly had its ups and downs this past year, which has been a common trend we’ve all seen since 2020. However, in 2022, the price of homes hit an all-time high. The national sales medium price was 433K with prices here in Lexington bouncing just over half that at 243k. Of course, this isn’t too surprising since we have seen a steady increase since lockdown. The demand sharply increased while the supply remained historically low.

Another sad but not surprising increase we all witnessed was the price of rent. We saw a substantial uptick due to the same lack of supply issues that are plaguing the housing market. Aiding this situation, though, is the 1.1 million rental units currently under construction in the United States at this moment. We’re hoping to see more affordable housing heading our way this year.
