Happy Anniversary to the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of Realtors!
This October ushered in the 100-year Anniversary for the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of Realtors. In 1912 the Lexington Real Estate Exchange was established with a handful of local real estate agents and is now an eleven county regional association with over 1,900 members.
A significant milestone, the occasion was celebrated by an elegant luncheon at the Keene Barn and featured the University of Kentucky Orchestra, presentation of a gift and plaque from the Kentucky Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors, and a message from Mayor Jim Gray.
With over 400 in attendance, we were honored by the presence of our Past-President L.T. Flynn who is 98 ½ years old and still in fine form both physically and mentally. He quipped, “I’m just happy to be near something that is actually older than me!”
Congratulations LBAR!!
