Celebrate Mom This Weekend in Central Kentucky!
The beginning of May is full of holidays! This past Saturday, we had the 139th running of the Kentucky Derby as well as Star Wars Day (May The Fourth Be with You). Then Cinco de Mayo was on Sunday. Coming up this Sunday, May 12th, we’ll celebrate the leading lady in our lives: our Moms. Now we know that our Moms should be celebrated throughout the year, but make sure her day is EXTRA special with these fun ideas!

- If you’re looking for a fun (and free) place to take your Mother this weekend, check out the 2013 Mayfest Arts Fair this Saturday and Sunday at Gratz Park. Mayfest is a juried art fair with a focus on a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. Included in the festival are up to 100 Artist Vendors, Young Artists, and Activity Artists, performances by musicians, dancers, strolling performers, traditional Maypole Dance, food concession vendors, and children's activities including an Astro Jump, pirate ship ride, pony rides, petting zoo and children's crafts. Admission is free and will be held Saturday, May 11, 10am - 6pm and Sunday May 12, 11am - 5pm. This is a rain or shine event.
