I recently attended the 2014 Leading RE Conference in Las Vegas and was once again amazed at the impact of this annual conference. LeadingRE stands for The Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, which is a network of Affiliates from all over the world made up of an elite group of the most productive, innovative and respected professionals in the industry, as Chairman of the Board of LeadingRE, Robert Sibcy, put it. Members are able to send and receive referrals from all over the world.
We were pleased to host our annual dinner for the Milestone Realty Consultants Top Producer’s at The Blue Heron in downtown Lexington last evening.
This year, our focus was on celebrating and lifting up our Realtors, who not only survived the economic downturn, but persevered and performed at an optimum level, while many others in our industry were forced to seek alternative employment and revenue sources. What is it that causes some to rise to the top in the face of adversity? What gives a top Salesperson their “fire in the belly” to continue to strive for success when the odds are stacked against them from many angles? Several words came to mind when discussing these phenomenal Realtors. Fearless, Dedicated, Determined, Loyal, Trustworthy are just a few.
Please watch our video of celebration as we congratulate Milestone’s finest agents!

This October ushered in the 100-year Anniversary for the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of Realtors. In 1912 the Lexington Real Estate Exchange was established with a handful of local real estate agents and is now an eleven county regional association with over 1,900 members.
A significant milestone, the occasion was celebrated by an elegant luncheon at the Keene Barn and featured the University of Kentucky Orchestra, presentation of a gift and plaque from the Kentucky Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors, and a message from Mayor Jim Gray.
I was fortunate to attend the 90th Kentucky Association of Realtors Convention last week at the Northern Kentucky Convention and & Expo Center. The convention is a time to learn and to network with fellow agents from all over the state of Kentucky.
I have met many people over the years at these conventions, which has proven to be a great resource for referrals or even Real Estate advice outside of your area. It is always nice to see these people year after year.
The three day event is full of educational opportunities and is broken into sessions that you can choose to attend. Several of the sessions offer Continuing Education...
