Valentine's Day is a time where you can show your spouse, significant others, and family how much you love and appreciate them. But how often do you get to show yourself the love? Here are 4 ways you can spoil yourself at home this Valentine's Day.
Get Comfortable
Sometimes the best way to relax is to put on your comfiest pjs, light a fire in the fireplace, and snuggle up on the couch with a good book or your favorite movie. Turn your phone off, power off your laptop or tablet, and just enjoy some peace and quiet. ...
The holidays are over, the buzz is dying down. It’s time to get organized and ready for the upcoming year. Now comes the daunting task of taking down your holiday decorations. While it may not be the most enjoyable thing to do, it is a necessary evil (you don’t want to be “that house” on your street that still has your Christmas lights up in March, do you?). Here are some tips for packing and storing holiday decorations that will make this yearly event less of a chore and more of a streamlined, simple affair.
Choose the Proper Containers
Depending on whether you’re storing your items in a closet, attic, or garage, you need to make sure you have the proper storage containers. Attics and garages have a wide variety of temperature fluctuations, so you want to make sure that your containers hold up to the changes in seasons. Consider using plastic totes which can withstand changes in moisture...
Welcome to 2013!
The new year is a time when many people make resolutions; promises to change or modify behaviors or actions to better their lives or situations. We all know the typical resolutions that people make: lose weight, quit smoking, eliminate stress, get organized, eat healthier, go to the gym, etc, etc, etc.
Unfortunately, we also know that most people fail to carry out their resolutions throughout the year. Anyone who has ever made and broken a New Year’s Resolution can appreciate the difficulty of behavior change. Making a lasting change in behavior is rarely a simple process, and usually involves a substantial commitment of time, effort and emotion.
I prefer to use the word goal instead of resolution around this time of the year. I feel like word "Resolution" is saying out loud that we want/do not want to do whereas the word "Goal" implies that a certain...
As 2012 winds down and we look forward to 2013, we find that there is much to be thankful for in the real estate industry.
The third and fourth quarter of 2012 finally gave us a glimpse of the “light at the end of the tunnel”--or so we hope. In his November statistical report, Mike Wheatley assured us all that we are in full blown recovery and believe me, he studies the numbers like an economist!! If you study the chart for Milestone’s volume of closed sales comparing 2011 to 2012, you will see that the first half of the year was somewhat unstable but the second half was much stronger with higher month-over-month sales each and every time. Analyzing our December closed sales to date and projected sales between today and the end of the year promises that we will finish strong!

Today’s Real Estate Agent is more than just a home finder. With the constant changes in technology and the way consumers operate, it seems a Realtor must be a tech savvy, marketing and social media guru, with lightning fast turn-around time and constant community involvement, in order to keep clients happy. This is what makes them successful in the industry. More importantly, today’s Real Estate Agent cannot be stationary.
When I use the word stationary, I mean it both literally and figuratively. The agent that avoids technology and constant growth is missing out on potential business - the same way that the agent without frequent interaction...
