Breeders Cup 2022 Guide

This year’s 2022 Breeders Cup race is finally upon us. Keeneland racetrack is the host of this year’s exciting event and there are plenty of equine events for horse lovers to get behind. The stakes are high and there is a star studded stable to put money on.  We are going to breakdown everything you need to know about this year’s race.

In the far most inside slot is the number 1 horse Tabia, trained by trainer Bob Baffert and being ridden by jockey Mike Smith there is a lot of Talent in this horse. Tabia has won 60 percent of his races and sits at 8-1 odds. Next is the 2 slot is the horse, Life is Good, this horse is trained by Todd A. Pletcher and jockeyed by Irad Ortiz Jr. This horse has earned over 4 million in total earning over it’s lifetime and has won 82 percent of his races. Sitting currently at 6-1 odds this horse is one to look out for in the big race. Next up is Happy Saver, trained also by Todd A. Pletcher this horse is sitting at 30-1 odds, so we don’t expect to see him near the front of the pack when things are said and done, but hey, Stanger things have happened.

We move on to Flightline who has won 100 percent of his races trained by John W. Sadler this horse has a lot to run for in this Breeders Cup challenge. Hot Rod Charlie come in at the number 5 slot. Sitting at 15-1 odds and trained by Doug F. O’Neil, this horse is no slouch with over 5 and a half million in lifetime earnings. Next is the overall favorite to win the race, Epicenter. Epicenter was the runner up to this years Kentucky Derby, so I know he is going for it all this time.  In the 7th slot with 10-1 odds Olympiad a solid horse winning over half his total lifetime races, he is one to keep an eye out on for sure. Finally, we have Rich Strike. You might remember Rich Strike as this years Kentucky Derby winner at a whopping 80-1 odds. This time he has cut those odds down to 20-1, still not great but you already know to never tell him the odds.
