This isn't a flip. It's a home two great people bought to live in for awhile. They were picky. It's well-preserved in all the charming ways you'll love (bedford stone, hardwood, knotty-pine den, exposed brick, retro bathroom, wood window valances, telephone nook, hinges and knobs with some patina), yet with the modern conveniences like an energy efficient furnace, replacement vinyl windows, and low maintenance exterior. Planning to live there long-term, my folks knocked the kitchen renovation out of the park. They built a couple more walls of cabinets to match, painted them a timeless warm yellow, replaced counters and appliances, added pendant and under-cabinet lighting, moved the sink to overlook the backyard, and topped it off with classic hardware and a handcrafted top in the bar-height seating area. All this is enough to sell the house. But it has two extras not often found here. A full unfinished basement full of potential, and a large two-car garage. It's a tremendous value!
