"she did a great job"

Antonio –Oct. 25, 2017

"We were told that building our home with ball homes would take 6-8 months and it took almost 11 months. We rented a townhouse through ball homes nearby. We rented month to month based on the fact that it could be done in 6 months but we were already two months into it, therefore our monthly payment was more than if we had signed a 6 month lease because we wanted to get into our new home as soon as possible. We noticed that the "quick move" houses near ours were done in a matter of a few months and felt like those houses were given priority over ours. At one point I asked Stevie if there was a conflict of interest representing both parties and I believe the time frame in which things happen might be beyond her control. Although I don't know why ours took so much longer than others and so much longer than we were told. It really ruined a lot of our summer plans with family wanting to visit this summer and plans of putting in a pool in May and now it will have to be August of this year, because we couldn't move forward with that development until we closed. Stevie was very available to us for questions and concerns but then never came back with any real answers, which was frustrating for us. If we ever built another home we will make sure there is something in the contract about if they go past a certain date to close there would be consequences on the seller side of things. Lesson learned on our side but to me this is something a realtor should talk to us about at contract signing but it was more here is Ball’s contract sign it. The selections process at ball homes also has a lot to be desired. Stevie told us to go to open houses to prepare for selections which was very helpful. Once at selections the flooring I had picked out was no longer available. I think there should have been some notice at the open house a week or two prior that the flooring would be discontinued. It was frustrating to find it not available after making the decision that we would choose it. Also at selections we made a custom upgrade to remove the shower in the master bathroom and install a double headed frame less shower. We were not shown an example of the frameless shower and once installed saw there is a frame on the side without the door. The side with the door has clips that attach to the wall and the other side has a frame, not clips, hence it was not truly frameless. (See attached picture) At selections we should have been shown this is what they offer if that is all they offer because we were told we were paying extra for a custom frameless shower, hence that the designer designed specifically for us and had to be submitted to the designer for approval. Lastly, we asked Stevie if ball homes could not install the sod until after close because of the plans of putting in a pool. We were told there was nothing they could do. I was never given any options for a credit or told how much the credit would be if they didn't install it. We were told that just wasn't an option and we were not explained why. We have seen the houses around us close without sod and also didn't understand why this couldn't be an option to us. From a customer stand point it felt as though Milestone really couldn't do anything for us and that Ball Homes has a process for everything. When spending such a significant amount of money, it would have been nice to get some better responses to our concerns. We felt like we should have been giving priority over a "quick sale" house because we have already signed a purchase agreement. We should be first in line not passed by. Perhaps issues like these is why we have seen the house next to us sold and then backed out of the sale. When a customer asks for something and pays extra to have it then they should get what they have paid for not something everyone else gets unless we were told that at selections which we were not. If a customer wants to negotiate something like the sod being installed at a later date then the way a negotiation should work is that the realtor would come back with options for that and we were given no options. We cannot feel satisfied with the way this process went for us, we are happy with our house and what we picked to build for ourselves but our requests for the shower, lawn and flooring did not meet our expectations in any way."

"This letter is to express my complete satisfaction concerning the service that was provided to me by Stevie Page. Stevie had been working with me for almost a year when she helped me close on my townhome. After falling through on my first two bids due to cold feet, she without hesitation worked with me a third time. She maintained her positive attitude through the whole process and kept me up to date on what I needed to get done and what was going on from her end. The whole process went about as smooth as it could get. I would recommend Stevie to anyone, and when I decide to sell or buy again, I will be looking for her expertise, attitude and heart warming smile."
