Looking for something fun to do this weekend with your four-legged friend? Close Summer 2012 down with a splash this weekend at Woodland Park for the 12th annual Dog Paddle. Sponsored by Friends of the Dog Park and LFUCG’s Parks and Recreation, this annual fundraiser benefits amenities of local dog parks.

This Saturday, September 8th, from 9am-3pm, dogs of all shapes, sizes, and ages can come to the Woodland Aquatics Center at 190 Old Park Avenue to take a dip in the pool before city officials close it down for the season. In the event of lightning, the swim will be held on Sunday, September 9th.

The cost is $10 per dog with a limit of 2 people per dog. If you have more than 2 people, there is a $5 charge per person. Children under 10 will be admitted free with a paying adult. All dogs must show their proof of 2011 or 2012 rabies vaccination.
